A great cooperation between Israel and Egypt on the tennis court: David Squad player, Halel Ashoosh, and the Egyptian player, Aly El Rafie, made it until the semifinal of the ITF doubles tournament (on clay courts) which took place in Kigali, Rwanda.
The two players won their 1st round match today with 7:5, 4:6, 10:7 against Elijah Max Calaquian (USA) and Gagan Rakesh Vimal (India) and won their 1/4 final match 4:6, 7:5. 10:7 against Pranav Karthik from India and Dogan Can Sipahioglu from Turkey. In the semifinal they lost to Seungmin Park from Korea and Pavan Uppu (USA), who won the doubles tournament last week.
