Alex Gaponenko won his first ITF title

15 years old Alex Gaponenko, The David Squad player, won his first ITF title (U-18) in his career at the ITF Messika Open tournament which took place at Bat yam. Alex, who is practicing at the ITC – Jaffa with coach Victor Mordekhai, beat Joseph White (GBR) 6:3 6:2 in the final. Alex beat Benjamin Heynold (GBR) 6:0 6:1 in the 1st round, he won 6:2 3:6 6:1 against Tom Saporta (ISR) in the 2nd round, beat 6:4 6:2 Jesper Klov Nilsson (SWE) in the 1/4 final and than beat Nevo Gavrieli 6:3 6:2 in the semifinal. Roi Ginat and Nevo Gavrieli lost in the doubles final 6:3, 4:6, 6:10 to Yair Sarouk and Sahar Simon.
