Alex Gaponenko won the Singles & Doubles ITF Junior tournament in Be’er Sheva

15 years old Alex Gaponenko, David Squad player, won the Singles ITF Junior tournament in memory of Alex Podolsky which took place at the ITC – Be’er Sheva. Alex, who is practicing with coach Victor Mordekhai, beat Erik Grevelius from Sweden 2:6, 6:3, 7:5 after almost 2 hours of play in the final, to win a 2nd title in a row, after winning the ITF title in Bat Yam the week before. Alex won the Doubles title as well, together with Nevo Gavrieli, after beating Aaron Cohen and Noam Cohen 7:5 6:0 in the final.
